Maybe it wasn’t your size that gave you concern, but breathes there a woman who has never felt insecure because of her shape? Or her height? Or her age? Or her color?
The heroines in my books are diverse in appearance. Two of my leading ladies have been plus size. One heroine was extremely petite. Another was extremely tall. One of my plus-size ladies is also a grandmother.
I have purposely made the heroines in my books physically diverse because I believe beauty can’t be defined by any arbitrary “standard.” And inner beauty will always shine through.
