Happy Father’s Day To All You Real FATHERS!

Happy Father’s Day to all you real FATHERS out there!  Making a baby does not make a man a father.  You hear all the time about the absent Daddies and the bad Daddies.  But the MEN who stand up to be good fathers are often unsung heroes. There are so many men, so many brothers, out there every day doing their very best for their children.  God bless you guys and give you the strength to carry on!

I also want to send a shout out to all the women who are or were like me—raising children alone, being both MOTHER and FATHER.  No, ladies we could not be men, and I’m sure most of us weren’t trying to be and didn’t want to be.  I’m sure most of us would have preferred to have our children’s father present in their lives—if he would be in their lives in a positive way.

But we didn’t have any choice, so we did the best we could.  I know first-hand how tough that is, so ladies, God bless you also—and hang in there!
